About Taihan Textile
Our History
Taihan Textile was built during Korea’s industrial rebuilding era, when manufacturing was inseparable from national recovery, technical discipline, and long-term responsibility.
More than seventy years later, that same belief continues to guide how we invest, produce, and serve the customers who depend on our work.
Taihan Textile was founded in 1953 by Seol Gyeong-dong, in the years when Korea was rebuilding its industrial base. From the beginning, the company was built around a serious belief: that manufacturing, done properly, is a responsibility. It requires discipline, investment, and a commitment to customers who depend on the quality of what we produce.
More than seventy years later, that belief remains at the center of Taihan’s identity. We are not defined by history alone. We are defined by what that history has taught us: how to control color, manage process variation, hold quality across production scale, and keep improving as customer expectations rise.
Over time, Taihan has focused its capabilities around the disciplines that matter most to the customers we serve today: precision dyeing, technical finishing, and high-quality textile printing across digital, rotary, and flat processes. Our Daegu operation carries five decades of accumulated expertise in color formulation, dye chemistry, and process control, supported by more than seventy years of experience in the textile industry.
That experience matters, because textile manufacturing leaves little room for approximation. A fabric must meet the required color, handfeel, performance, compliance, and delivery expectations in production, not only in development. Taihan’s role is to translate customer requirements into dependable fabric, produced with discipline, and reviewed against clear standards.
As we look ahead, Taihan is renewing that commitment through investment in technology, quality systems, responsible production, and sustainability. Textiles may be one of the world’s oldest industries, but the expectations placed on manufacturers continue to rise. Taihan continues to meet those expectations with the same standard that has carried the company forward since 1953: disciplined manufacturing, technical excellence, and reliable performance.
For our people, this is not only a record of what Taihan has been. It is a statement of what Taihan must continue to be: a manufacturer that improves, protects its standards, and earns trust through the quality of its work.
Certified for consistency. Managed for control.
Taihan's manufacturing operations are supported by ISO-certified quality systems, documented inspection procedures, and in-process quality checks at each stage of production. The discipline behind these systems is what allows us to hold specification across long runs and to reproduce the same results years later when customers reorder.
Tools improve. Standards rise.
Taihan continues to invest in new technology and refine its printing, dyeing, finishing, and color control to meet the evolving demands of global customers. Starting from a foundation of manufacturing excellence built over seventy years, we work toward perfection through better tools, better data, and better outcomes for every order.
Consistent output. Controlled risk.
Taihan sources from established, long-term suppliers and plans production around the realities of customer schedules. For brands running seasonal programs or repeat orders, this means the fabric they ordered last year can be ordered again, in the same quality, on a timeline they can rely on.
From development runs to volume production.
Taihan supports both small-batch development and larger production programs. As projects move from sampling to scale-up, we maintain technical review, quality oversight, and specification control so that increased volume does not come at the expense of reliability.
Made in Korea. Measured against the world.
Taihan operates in line with recognized international expectations for quality management, environmental responsibility, product safety, and responsible sourcing. Our certifications, audit systems, and documentation practices support customers that require traceability, compliance review, and export-ready production records.
Your requirements guide our work.
Taihan works as a development partner, not just a supplier. We collaborate directly with our customers' technical and product teams to refine base fabrics, develop print and color standards, select finishes, and tune performance characteristics for the application. The result is fabric built around the customer's specification rather than sold from a catalog.
